Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) have undertaken the responsibility to develop properties in Andheri, which will cater to high as well as low income groups in Mumbai.

Mumbai-The True Essence of Cosmopolitan Living

Mumbai, before what we see now, was made up of seven islands. The inhabitants were mostly people from the fishing communities, which is why you will see small villages in the city itself. Reclamation of the areas between the islands led to these different islands forming one big mass of land. This also led to major railways and roadways getting constructed, slowly and steadily turning Mumbai into the country's major hub for financial, commercial and entertainment.

Also known as the city that never sleeps, many people from around the country and beyond have arrived in Mumbai, and continue to do so, in search for a living that they have always desired. It is no wonder that Mumbai is the 8th most populous city in the world. Major urban areas like Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan shows how much the city is expanding. Major projects are being taken up to create more apartments in Mumbai. Needless to say, developmental projects like the Metro Line - 3 that will cover Colaba-Bandra-Seepz has greatly influenced the upcoming properties in Mumbai.

The Ghatkopar-Versova metro line that recently opened has resulted in the rise in commercial and residential values in Versova. Many bungalows and buildings are being undertaken by MHADA for redevelopment. The fact that this area is easily accessible to other major parts of the city like BKC, the airports, and South Mumbai has also played a major role in the changes that is happening in Versova in terms of real estate.

However, finding the perfect apartment in mumbai can be an exhausting and excruciating task. The fact that it is one the most expensive cities to live in India doesn't help much either. With space being one of the major problems, properties in Mumbai are getting taller with towering apartment complexes. The good thing about this development is that real estate developers are making sure that its residents will have all the amenities they will need in the complex itself. Also, residents organize festivals and social gatherings throughout the year. Therefore, people of all ages can enjoy the cultural festivals celebrated in Mumbai within their complex, without having to venture out much

Although the task of find the right property in mumbai maybe painful, once you do, you will feel the love for this city growing every day. A lot of other cities in India might call itself a cosmopolitan city, the true essence of it can be felt only in Mumbai. People from various religions, backgrounds, profession, and race, they all live here together. There are many things Mumbai and its people are famous for, the spirit of oneness surpasses it all. The differences between the people is what unites people in Mumbai and that is one of the most beautiful one can experience only in Mumbai.

Growing Infrastructure in Mumbai

One of the most populated cities in India; Mumbai is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra. Mumbai is the second most populated metropolitan area in India, and the fifth most populated city in the world. The population of the city is estimated to be around 18.4 million and the metropolitan area population is around 20.7 million. Along with the urban areas, including the areas of Navi Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, it is one of the most populous urban regions in the world.
In 2011 sales for flats in Mumbai dropped by 28%. This happened due to rise in both prices and interest rates due to limited supply. However, 2012 saw an increase in upcoming projects in Mumbai and estate agents anticipate this will lead to a corresponding increase in sales.
The residential properties in Mumbai are booming. Towering apartment complexes are coming up all through the suburbs. Mumbai is expected to take a lead with regards to sales with40 per cent increased sales in residential properties and 26 per cent increased sales for apartment complexes during the months of October to December 2014.

There has been a significant increase in upcoming projects in Mumbai over the last two years. The government has planned various infrastructure upgrades, including international airport and metro rail for Navi Mumbai, the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link, Elevated Eastern Freeway, and the Churchgate-Virar Elevated Rail among many other improvements.

Given the rising prices of real estate, it would be fair to assume that the new projects in Mumbai will increase anywhere from 15% to as much as 50% depending on the infrastructure of the area and of course, the location. Another significant advantage of upcoming real estate projects in Mumbai is the ability to customize the interiors to ones liking.

While every real estate company delivers what has been promised, you have the ability to choose the tiles, flooring options and fixtures if you invest early on. Such varied customization is only possible with new projects in Mumbai; an option that is otherwise non-existent with already launched properties. The trick to finding such a desirable property is to have a source which would offer you a list of all upcoming residential projects in Mumbai.
